Feature: Expedited Background Screening

When you sign up with CitizenShipper as a new driver, you can start bidding on shipments and messaging customers after submitting your information to a background check. The data you send us is securely collected and passed on to Checkr for processing. 

As soon as you've submitted your background info, you can start bidding and messaging. However, the background check won't be processed until you've won a shipment - you won't get a Background Certified achievement badge before that. 

This is an obstacle for many transporters who are just starting out, as customers often hesitate to book a driver that hasn't yet been background-certified.

To help you clear this hurdle, we've introduced Expedited Background Screenings. This allows you to have your background screened immediately, at the cost of a $10 deposit. Here's how it works:

1. You submit your background information normally, and we send it on to Checkr.
2. You email us with the subject line "Activate Background Screening”.
3. We process a payment of $10 on your credit card to expedite your background check.
4. Checkr runs the background check immediately, with results coming in within 1-3 days.

And that's it! As soon as the results clear, your Background Certified badge will appear on your profile, letting customers know that you're a reliable professional they can do business with.

You'll find it significantly easier to win your first shipment this way. And after you've done so, simply email us again to let us know - we'll refund your $10 deposit, no questions asked!
