Finding shipments that fit your schedule and preferences can be challenging. Luckily, CitizenShipper offers several ways to discover and bid on opportunities that fit your criteria. Here's how:
From Your Notifications
When you sign up for CitizenShipper, you’re prompted to choose your preferred shipping categories. If you need to update these preferences, you can start by clicking the settings wheel in the top right corner of the app.
Once you're in the settings panel, choose the Notifications tab and scroll to the Categories section. Then, start typing your preferred categories and select the ones you would like to complete transports in:
As a driver, you automatically receive email or text notifications whenever a new shipment matches your selected routes or categories. You can adjust your notification preferences from your Notifications tab.
The notifications will include links to the newly listed shipments. If you are interested in any of them and wish to know more, simply click the link to view the shipment details.
Before placing a bid, please consider the following:
1. Can your vehicle handle the item(s) being shipped?
2. Are you available on the pickup and delivery dates?
3. Can you meet all the customer's requirements?
If you're confident you can handle the job, you can submit a bid right away. If you're not sure, you can message the customer directly and ask for clarification and see if they are flexible with their dates or requirements.
You can manage all customer responses and ongoing conversations in the My Messages section.
Pro Tip: Do not hesitate to ask questions and converse with customers - according to our data, transporters who message customers before bidding have a higher chance of winning the job!
From Your Dashboard
When you log in to CitizenShipper using your email and password, you will be taken to your Dashboard. There, you should see a list of shipments in the Recommended tab - a curated list of shipments matching your chosen categories and routes.
Additional tabs include:
- Active: Your ongoing shipments where you have placed a bid or sent a message to the customer.
- Booked: Jobs you’ve secured.
- Delivered: Completed shipments.
- Cancelled: Jobs that didn’t go through.
- Open: All available shipments.
Using the Shipment Search Tool
You can also manually search for shipments. To access the Shipment Search Tool, simply click the search bar in the upper left corner of your screen (If using a mobile device, you should see the search bar at the top of your screen). From there, you can specify multiple search query filters, including pick-up and delivery location, dates, weight, and distance to refine your search results:
Our team is working on a feature allowing drivers to search shipments based on a mile radius and save them for future browsing and receiving notifications. Stay tuned to our product updates and subscribe to the driver newsletter to be informed about the release date!
