In this article, we’ll walk you through the shipment details page and how to navigate it efficiently.
To access a shipment listing from your Dashboard, simply click on the title of the shipment.
This will open the shipment details page, which consists of two main sections:
- Listing Information (on the left) – Includes shipment photos, preferred pickup date, and additional details.
- Bidding Information (on the right) – Displays the bidding process and competitor bids.
Below the shipment images and overview, you’ll find the customer’s description of the shipment. In this example, a customer named Olivia has noted that their pet is an adult Collie mix that weighs 67lbs and has separation anxiety.
The shipment overview also provides key details, such as:
- The customer's preferred pickup date: September 20th;
- When the listing was posted: 11 minutes ago;
- When the customer was last active on the platform: 1 min ago.
The map below the shipment details can help you visualize the pick-up and drop-off locations. Clicking the "A" and "B" pins on the map provides the ZIP code information, allowing you to narrow down the pickup and delivery area before placing a bid.
The Message button lets you contact the customer directly. Use it to introduce yourself, ask any questions you might have, and clarify shipment details before bidding. Alternatively, you can send your intro message by clicking on the Send intro button.
Below the message section, you'll see a list of other drivers bidding on the same shipment. In this example, six other drivers have placed bids, and the amount that each of them is bidding.
When you're ready to bid, enter your quote in the provided box and click Place Bid. The customer will be instantly notified via email or text. They can view your bid in their dashboard along with a link to your profile. When you place your bid, your introduction will be automatically sent if you haven’t sent it yet.
Note: The lowest bid does not always win. Customers prioritize professionalism and experience, so offering the cheapest option isn’t necessarily the best strategy.
If your bid isn’t accepted, you can still see which bid won the shipment.
At the bottom of the page, you'll find the Rideshare Tool, which suggests shipments that are geographically close to the current listing and also matches your chosen categories:
The tool allows you to bid on multiple shipments along the same route, reduce travel costs by combining shipments, and offer more competitive bids. By using this tool strategically, you can increase your chances of winning shipments while optimizing your route and earnings.
