Managing your account settings and preferences

The Settings page allows you to update and confirm your account details or cancel your account.

Public name

Under your Profile tab, you can choose between your real name and a Doing Business As (DBA) name to be used across the platform. The name you choose will show on your public profile, on the bidding list, in the Messages, and more. The last name will not show up on your public profile. Drivers must use legitimate DBAs and not use this site field for marketing purposes beyond the spirit of a DBA. More information about this policy can be found here.

Note: Once your background check report clears, you won't be able to update your real name.

Verifications

If you haven't yet verified your contact information, USDA registration, and other details, you can do so from the Verifications section of your Profile tab within your Driver Dashboard.

Email and phone settings

Email and phone settings can be checked under your Contact Information tab. At this time, you cannot change your email and phone number in your settings after the initial setup. Please contact our support team at support@citizenshipper.com to make these changes.

If you want to change how you receive notifications via email or text, visit the Notification tab on your Dashboard instead.

Cancel account

To completely cancel your account on CitizenShipper, use the Cancel my account button. You will be prompted to enter your password again for security reasons. Note that you cannot undo this action. Once canceled, the following will happen:

1. Your subscription, if any, will be canceled too, and you won't be billed again.
2. You will no longer receive any further email or text notifications.
3. You will no longer be able to log back into CitizenShipper.

Important: If you only need to pause your subscription so you're not billed while you're unable to pick up shipments (but plan to return later), visit the Membership tab. For more information on how your subscription works, visit this article.

Pausing saves all your data and settings, allowing you to resume using the platform at any time. By contrast, canceling your account means that if you ever decide to come back, you'll need to start over.
